Whether it be imaginary lands or tales from past, all your dreams will come true in this group meant for royalty.
Roarin' Twenties: Redmond Historical Society
Go back to when zoot suits, feathered headbands, and rag time were all the rage. Break out your strands of pearls and decorate up your wheels for this Roarin’ group.
Hot Rod Thirties: Sammamish Montessori School
Do you have some wheels that are just too hot for any of the other decades? If so, you better get your bike, scooter, wheels or self into this “HOT” group.
Grand 'Ol Flag Forties: Alan Nohr DDS and Staff
Show off your patriotism in this Grand Ol group by showing off your stars and stripes. Decorate your wheels or yourself in red, white, and blue and march with pride.
Nifty Fifties: Canine Companions
Put another coin in the juke box, grab your “poodle” skirt and leather jacket and get ready to doo wop at the hop sock with this crazy bunch of animals.

If you want to be in a group that is “Totally Bodacious,”? Then break out your bangles, spandex, and start teasing your hair, because this group is going to be kickin’ dudes and dudettes!
Freestylin Nineties: Tri Mechanical, Inc.
Are you still rockin’ out to Nirvana and the days of grunge? Or maybe you are a Spice Girl “wannabe.” This decade had it all…and so can you! Come as you are, or how you have always wanted to be with your bike, skates, board, or wheels, for this Freestylin group.
Millenium Mania: Aikido Academy
Celebrate the Y2K decade by breaking out your best guitar hero skills, or putting on your best high school musical. Show off your moves as you strut down the streets of Redmond.
The Future
Get creative in this group that lets you dream of the future. Space ships, aliens, crazy outfits…we’re headed to the future and beyond in this group.
Event Guidelines
- Sign-up begins at 9:15 a.m. in the Redmond Medical Center parking lot.
- All participants please report to the registration tables in front of the Redmond Medical Center.
- Registration volunteers will assign you to the appropriate parade category.
- All kids on “wheels” MUST have a helmet on, no exceptions!
- No judging will occur at the event.
- Please keep pets on a leash at all times
- An adult should accompany children under the age of seven.
- Toy guns are not allowed as any part of any costume, as this is a Seafair sanctioned event.
The Route
The parade distance is suitable for all ages (.3 miles); so don’t let your little ones get discouraged. The route will begin at the Redmond Medical Center parking lot heading North on 161st, proceeding West on 85th to end at the Redmond City Hall Campus, where the dollars will be distributed, after the balloon arch. We look forward to seeing you at the birthday party parade!
Bike Check
After strutting your stuff in the .3 mile parade route, check your “wheels” for $1 at the Boy Scouts Bike Check-In across the street from the Redmond City Hall Campus. Spend the rest of the day watching the Grand Parade, enjoying live music, entertainment, food, and games. After 95 years, the city of Redmond sure knows how to throw a great party!

Need a Helmet?
Helmets will be available at the Kids Parade party for a $5 donation. Volunteers will be on-site to provide helmet education along with custom fitting. Please plan on arriving early, in order to get a helmet in time for the parade.
